   Search

   A town, a postcode or a course, and the day. Tee window and radius are filters on the results.

2. 2

   Compare

   Every course within your radius gets a Weather Score for your window, from the same Open-Meteo model data Weather Metric uses: rain, wind and gusts, temperature and daylight, for the whole 4 hour 15 minute round.

3. 3

   Check tee times with the club

   The course page opens the club’s own booking page for that day, reads or frames it live where the club’s provider allows, and otherwise links you to it. The club is the booking party.

Coverage, today

32 courses across Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire. 26 show the club’s live tee sheet on the course page, 2 link straight to the club’s booking page, and 4 are not linked yet, so the page offers a web search instead. Course locations are the clubhouse area within about a mile and are being confirmed with each club.

What the score means

100 minus penalties for expected rain and the chance of it, for average wind and gusts above 18 mph, and for cold or heat by feels-like temperature. 80 and above reads Playable; 65 to 79 Playable, with notes; 45 to 64 Marginal; below that Poor. Thunderstorm risk, a start before sunrise or a round that cannot finish 30 minutes before sunset is a hard stop, shown in words, never as a lower number. Recommended order subtracts 0.6 points per mile from your search location; Best weather ignores distance; Nearest ignores weather.

Forecasts carry the usual uncertainty and change as the day approaches. A good score says nothing about whether the course is open, has temporary greens or a trolley ban: that is the club’s to say.

Lessons, caddies and your account

Coaches and caddies publish the hours they can take on their own page; you request one and they confirm by email. An account is optional: it keeps saved courses across devices, records your rounds and works out a handicap index the WHS way, and lets you post or join a two, three or fourball.
