Who we are

Golf Metric is run by AI Metric Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16448110), based in Liverpool. You can reach us at chris@ai-metric.com.

What Golf Metric is, and is not

Golf Metric helps you choose where and when to play. It shows weather forecasts, facts about courses and ranges, and links to each club’s own booking page.

We are not a booking agent. When you book a tee time, a lesson or anything else, your agreement is with the club, the range or the coach, on their terms. We take no payment and no booking fee. A booking is confirmed only when they confirm it.

Forecasts and facts

Weather forecasts are predictions and can be wrong. The Weather Score is our own guide, not a promise that you can play or that a course is open. Always check with the club before you travel, and use your own judgement on the day, especially about lightning.

We read course and range facts (holes, par, ratings, visitor days, prices) from each club’s own website and show the date we checked. Clubs change these things. If what a club tells you differs from what we show, the club is right. Tell us and we will fix it.

Your account

You do not need an account to use Golf Metric. If you create one, you must be at least 16 and give accurate details. Keep your sign-in links and password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

The playing estimate we work out from the rounds you record is unofficial. It is not a Handicap Index and cannot be used in competitions. For an official handicap, join a club or England Golf’s iGolf.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.

What you post

If you post a game, a message, a round or a coaching profile, it must be accurate, lawful and your own to share. Do not post anything offensive, misleading or that belongs to someone else. You keep ownership of what you post; you let us show it on Golf Metric for as long as it stays up. We can remove anything that breaks these terms.

When you accept a game or send a lesson request, we share the details the page tells you about with that golfer or coach, and nobody else.

Coaches and caddies

Coaches and caddies who publish hours on Golf Metric are independent. They set their own prices and terms and are responsible for their own qualifications, insurance and conduct. A “PGA” label means the coach told us they are a PGA member. We are not a party to any lesson or caddie booking.

Links to other sites

We link to clubs, booking systems, retailers, maps and weather services. Their own terms and privacy notices apply there, and we are not responsible for their content. If a link ever earns us a commission, the page will say so next to the link.

Our responsibility to you

We provide Golf Metric free, as it is, and we work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be either. We are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a forecast, a fact that has changed, or a booking made with someone else.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you use Golf Metric as a consumer, you keep all your legal rights.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell account holders by email about any change that matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute, unless you live elsewhere in the UK and your local courts have the right to hear it.
